  • Local School Committees

As a multi academy trust, our governance exists at a Trust level. However, the Trustees have established Local School Committees (LSC) to act as the ‘local voice’ of each school, ensuring that the school’s vision, values and performance remain strong and aligned with community needs and to carry out some of its school level responsibilities. The Local School Committee of each school sits under the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Headteacher of their school.

The LSC is made up of parents, staff and members of the wider community who meet together termly with the school leader. The school vision and values underpin the discussion, challenge and decision making made at these meetings. Minutes of these meetings are provided to the Trust Board and a representative from the LSC has the opportunity to attend Trust Board meetings to promote effective communication between the school and the Board.

The LSC have a requirement to fulfil several specific roles in Safeguarding, SEND, Pupil Disadvantage, Educations and Health and Safety.
